In order to help provide basic modern medical care, the Waves of Health provides over the counter medications and supplies to underserved families.
Join us for our 20th Anniversary Fundraising Event at Varitage Brew Works in Bloomfield on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 3–7pm. Every ticket includes two beer tickets + nibbles & every dollar fuels our next chapter of life‑changing work.
The Waves of health vision project has profound and long lasting effects. Improving people’s vision can truly be life changing, for individuals and communities.
Who We Are
Waves of Health is a nonprofit medical outreach organization founded in 2007, with two missions:
- To support the primary health care needs of underserved communities in the developing world.
- To educate others about the medical challenges in the developing world.
At the moment, we are accomplishing those goals through our main undertaking, which is to improve the health of residents within the greater Dajabón area, located in the Northwest region of Dominican Republic and Kuvale, Uganda.

As a medical outreach organization, we are constantly searching for novel and applicable ways to better serve our patients and increase our global effectiveness.
We are actively developing relationships in underserved areas and searching for communities in need of our unique and distinct capabilities. We welcome any and all support and are always looking to strengthen our teams and effectiveness through committed volunteers.
